Session Options
Farming Friends offers flexible therapeutic outdoor learning sessions designed around each learner’s strengths, needs, interests and confidence.

1:1 Learning Programmes
Our 1:1 learning programmes are carefully designed around each learner’s strengths, needs and interests. They are ideal for young people who benefit from personalised support, confidence building and reduced social demands.
These sessions can also support emotional regulation, re-engagement with learning and the development of trust through consistent, relationship-led support.
Social Groups
Our small-group sessions encourage social interaction, communication skills, teamwork and positive peer relationships in a calm and supportive setting.
Groups are kept small and purposeful, giving young people space to build confidence while feeling safe, supported and understood.

Blended Programmes
All activities can be accessed through 1:1 sessions, social groups or a carefully planned combination of both. Following assessment, each learner is supported through a personalised pathway designed around their individual needs.

Integration Sessions
Some learners benefit from gradually moving between 1:1 and group environments. Our integration sessions are carefully planned and supported, helping young people build confidence, develop communication skills and form positive relationships.
Integration is never rushed. It is always guided by the child’s readiness, confidence and voice, with independence built gently over time.
Fledglings
Fledglings is designed for younger learners who benefit from a nurturing, supportive and hands-on approach to learning.
This therapeutic outdoor learning group supports children who may be experiencing anxiety, Emotionally Based School Avoidance, neurodivergence, SEMH needs or difficulty within traditional classroom environments.

Fledglings Support
Fledglings offers small groups of up to four children, led by a Level 3 Forest School Leader with extensive SEND knowledge and experience. Individualised support is provided throughout.
Learning Environment
Our calm rural farm environment gives children opportunities to learn through nature, movement, exploration, real-life experiences, consistent routines and supportive relationships.
This helps younger learners feel safe, engaged and ready to take positive steps in their learning journey.

Referral Pathways
Fledglings can be accessed in different ways depending on the needs of the child, the family and the wider support network.
